Digitising the customer journey, step by step, without disruption

At a glance (Challenges → Solution → Results)

  • Challenge: simplify a cumbersome customer journey by allowing customers to save time at the branch by preparing their file online.
  • Solution :
    1. E-commerce MVP on PrestaShop with KYC, SEPA mandate, advance payment and branch appointment booking.
    2. Continuous UX optimisation (batch redesigns + A/B testing) with Digilityx (UX) and 202 (technical, deployment, tracking).

Results: a streamlined semi-digital journey, a contract ready before the appointment, a reduction in time spent in-branch, and a Resotainer marketing team with enhanced skills. According to Digilityx, the redesigned pages saw a 30% increase in performance.

1. The starting point: an ‘appointment booking’ website only.

Before collaborating with 202, Resotainer offered a simple booking website:

customers chose a box online, but then had to:

  1. Go to the agency,
  2. Provide proof of identity,
  3. Sign a SEPA mandate,
  4. Sign a rental contract,
  5. Pay the first month’s rent.

The entire administrative and contractual process remained 100% physical.

2. Phase 1 — The MVP (2022 → May 2024): digitising the preparation of the file

202 e-commerce is developing an MVP under PrestaShop, partially transforming the customer journey:

  • KYC: online identity verification with archiving of supporting documents.
  • SEPA mandate: digital signature via a third-party provider, without bank blocking.
  • Payment: online collection of the first month’s payment at the end of the process.
  • Appointment booking: the customer chooses a slot online to visit the branch to sign and collect their keys.

The contract is still signed physically at the branch.

🟢 MVP impact: the customer arrives at the branch with a complete file. The appointment is quick, with no paperwork, and the contract is ready to sign. This is partial digitalisation, but it is smooth and measurable.

3. Phase 1.5 — Stabilisation (May 2024 → end of 2024)

After the MVP goes live (15 May 2024), 202 will support Resotainer with:

  • Corrections based on initial user feedback,
  • Technical enhancements (SEO, performance, bugs),
  • Complete structuring of analytics tracking.

4. Phase 2 — Continuous optimisation (end of 2024 → Sept. 2025)

With a stable foundation, Resotainer, Digilityx and 202 are launching a performance-focused UX approach:

  • Batch redesign with systematic A/B testing.
  • Two pre-production environments for testing without impacting production.
  • Tracking enriched with each iteration.

Optimised pages (examples):

  • Agency page (MEP 12 May 2025)
  • Product page (MEP 12 May 2025)
  • Area pages (MEP 3 Sept. 2025)
  • Home & Search (MEP 6 Oct. 2025)

Methodological principles:

  • A/B testing → data-driven decision-making
  • Dedicated pre-production → security
  • Redesign batches → continuous improvement, without disruption
  • Visual arbitration → progressive consistency

Benefits:

  • SEO protected
  • Smoothed costs
  • Rapid deployment
  • Measurable ROI

5. What remains to be digitised: a work in progress

Signing the contract and handing over the keys still require a visit to the branch.

Areas for development (phase 3) include:

  • Full electronic signature (DocuSign or equivalent),
  • Secure key box for a 100% autonomous process,
  • Contract automation via CRM

However, these features are not yet in production. Their deployment will require testing, regulatory approval and on-the-ground support.

6. Learn, collaborate, adapt

This project illustrates 202’s ability to:

  • Join an existing project team (Digilityx),
  • Respect complementary areas of expertise,
  • Industrialise a reliable, scalable and measurable MVP,
  • Support a long-term data-driven UX redesign.

7. Why it is a genuine transformation (even if incomplete)

  • ✅ Customer file prepared entirely online (ID → SEPA → payment)
  • ✅ Time spent in the agency divided
  • ✅ Transformed organisation (digital marketing team with enhanced skills)
  • ✅ Continuous optimisation through A/B testing
  • ❌ Route not yet 100% autonomous → V3 under consideration

8. Role of 202 e-commerce

Technical architect and production manager:

  • Integration of KYC, SEPA and payment components
  • Construction of the tunnel + choice of slot
  • Implementation of tracking and pre-production system
  • Successive deployments using a Dev+UX approach

9. Conclusion

A story of real transformation, step by step.

An MVP that streamlines, a team that progresses, a UX that performs, a project that continues to move forward.

Method: co-construction, measured MVP, A/B redesigns.

Result: improved performance without a big bang.

Next step: towards a 100% autonomous journey, already in preparation.
